Jazz · Background & Ambient
The OK Jazz Duo is Oliver and Ky — two Brisbane musicians who met studying Jazz Performance at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and found they had more in common than just a love of jazz. Both have spent years gigging extensively across Brisbane's live music scene, playing in bands spanning far beyond the jazz world, which gives their duo a depth and versatility that goes well beyond the standard.
Ky is best known as the bass player for beloved Brisbane band Still Full From Lunch, and brings a groove and musicality that makes even the simplest jazz standard feel effortlessly alive. Together, the duo specialises in warm, unhurried background jazz — the kind of music that elevates a room without demanding its attention.
Between them, Oliver and Ky have performed at The Junk Bar, The Triffid, Iris Rooftop Bar, The Brightside, The Brisbane Jazz Club, Blackbear Lodge, and many more. Elegant, easygoing, and always in the pocket.
Jazz · Folk · Original Music

Armed with degrees and a shared love of intimate, honest music-making, the duo has spent the last few years carving out a reputation as one of Brisbane's most charming live acts.

They hold a regular residency at restaurants across Redcliffe and have performed multiple times at the iconic Brisbane Jazz Club, earning a loyal following of listeners who come back time and again. Whether you're looking for background ambience or an intimate performance that holds the room's full attention, Molly and Ollie bring musicianship, warmth, and genuine love of craft to every gig.

Pop · Rock · Pub Covers
Josh and Oliver have been making music together since they were teenagers, bonding over a shared obsession with great songs and the kind of chemistry that only comes from years of playing together. What started as after-school jam sessions has evolved into one of Brisbane's most energetic live duos — five years in the making and still going strong.
Their setlist is a reflection of everything they love. From the anthemic sweep of Coldplay to the irresistible groove of Earth Wind and Fire, and the raw, rootsy feel of Creedence Clearwater Revival — if it's a great song, it's fair game. Josh handles guitar while Oliver commands the keys, and with both sharing vocal duties, the sound is full, dynamic, and anything but "just a duo."
High energy, tight musicianship, and a genuine love of performing — Old Mates are built for the pub, the party, and every good night in between.
